APC Policy Statement

The Journal of Sustainable Smart Technologies (JSST) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal committed to the widespread dissemination of high-quality scientific research.

To support editorial management, peer review administration, copyediting, website maintenance, digital archiving, DOI registration, metadata management, and publication services, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

No fees are charged during the initial manuscript submission or peer review process.

Authors are required to pay APCs only after their manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

After manuscript acceptance, authors will receive:

  • Acceptance Letter
  • Payment Details
  • Copyright Form
  • Camera Ready Copy (CRC) Instructions

Authors are requested to complete the process within 10 working days.

Publication Charges

Indian Authors

Article Processing Charge (APC):
INR 2,500 per accepted manuscript.

International Authors

Article Processing Charge (APC):
USD 50 per accepted manuscript.

The APC covers:

  • Editorial processing
  • Double-blind peer review management
  • Copyediting and proofreading support
  • Online publication
  • DOI registration (when available)
  • Metadata indexing support
  • Long-term digital archiving
  • Open Access dissemination

Camera Ready Copy (CRC) Submission

After payment, authors must submit following to editor@jsstjournal.com

  • Final Camera Ready Manuscript (Word + PDF) as per JSST template
  • Copyright Form (Signed)
  • Payment proof

No Submission Fee

JSST does not charge:

  • Manuscript Submission Fee
  • Review Fee
  • Initial Processing Fee

Authors may submit manuscripts free of charge. Charges apply only after acceptance.

Waiver and Discount Policy

JSST may grant partial or full APC waivers under exceptional circumstances, including:

  • Students with demonstrated financial constraints
  • Researchers from low-income countries
  • Invited articles
  • Special issue contributions
  • Editorial Board recommendations

Waiver requests must be submitted before publication.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to approve or decline waiver requests.

Refund Policy

APCs are non-refundable once:

  • The article has entered production.
  • DOI registration has been completed.
  • Publication processing has commenced.

No refunds shall be issued following publication.

Open Access Commitment

All published articles are made freely available online immediately upon publication without subscription barriers.

Readers may access, download, read, and share articles without charge.

The APC supports the journal's commitment to maintaining sustainable Open Access publishing.

Transparency and Ethical Publishing

JSST is committed to maintaining transparency regarding all publication-related charges.

Editorial decisions are made independently of APC payments.

The applicable APC will be communicated to authors only after manuscript acceptance. JSST ensures transparent and fair pricing for authors.

Payment of APCs does not guarantee acceptance of a manuscript.

All submissions undergo the same rigorous editorial and peer review process.
